The cat, when it was first seen, was not subject to enema had passed 10 days.

Acupuncture was made of simple selected points.
The duration of each treatment was about 20 minutes.
There was 9 sessions each week, then another 2 sessions separated by 15 days, followed by 1 session after 1 month, another session after 6 weeks and finally one last session past 3 months.
Sessions lasted well 8 months.
Between the 2nd and 3rd sessions had to perform an enema, or after fifteen days after the beginning of treatment by acupuncture and 25 days passed after the previous enema.
After this enema, and for 7 and a half months following which lasted the acupuncture treatment, the animal has not been subjected to any further enema.

During treatment has decreased the frequency of administration Serum Subcutaneous and LEVOLAC, to keep in:

- Subcutaneous Serum - 1 time every 15 days
- LEVOLAC - 1 time a week.

Until at least 12 months after beginning treatment, all Megacolon symptoms disappeared, the animal is stable in their function of defecation and did not need to do any enema.
