CLINICAL CASES

- FECAL INCONTINENCE - ICE – Dog, Male, Age: 10 years, Breed Husky -

Ice had perianal hernias and the perianal area lymph nodes were greatly increased. A Veterinary Hospital did a surgery to fix the hernia and had the lymph nodes removed - since there was suspicion of tumor tissue.
After surgery and for about 1.5 months until the 1st session of Acupuncture, Ice was with diarrhea and fecal incontinence and had very dilated and inflamed anus.
Simple Acupuncture and Moxibustion of selected points was performed in treatment sessions that lasted about 20 minutes.
There was a total of 7 sessions within an interval of 6 weeks.

Soon after the 1st session of Acupuncture Ice began to have less inflamed and demonstrate less pain in the anus area.
After the 2nd session the animal began control of stool, although still had fecal incontinence, and still had diarrhea.
After the 3rd session and by the end of the treatment Ice had not inflamed perianal area, diarrhea ceased and fecal incontinence stopped, normally controlling the feces.
