- SCIATIC AND FEMORAL NERVE PARALYSIS (treatment after surgery) - DUNA – Dog, Female, Age: 7 months, undetermined breed -
After a trauma, the animal had to be subjected to surgery to fix a broken pelvis, which had caused right hindlimb paralysis, had absent reflexes on neurological examination, including no deep pain sensitivity and proprioception.
Duna had 8 sessions of Acupuncture and Electroacupuncture, in a range of 3 and a half months, in addition to allopathic treatment.
At the end of the treatment the animal was moving smoothly and with nice balance and reflexes when neurological examination were already fully or mostly recovered.
