- SPINAL CORD COMPRESSION (nonsurgical treatment) - MICHA – Dog, Male, Age: 10 years, Breed: Poodle -
After a trauma, the animal had a presumptive diagnosis of Spinal Cord Compression between T3-L3, presenting with ataxia and paraparesis of Hindquarters, not managing to stand up, and had decreased or absent reflexes on neurological examination, including deep pain sensitivity and proprioception.
Micha had 10 sessions of Acupuncture and Electroacupuncture, in a range of 5 months, in addition to allopathic treatment.
At the end of the treatment the animal was moving without difficulty in any paw with a balance almost normalized and reflexes upon neurological examination were already fully or mostly recovered.
